The Royal Thames Yacht Club and the Trustees of the Global Team Racing Championship are now accepting invitation requests for the Global Keelboat Team Racing Regatta scheduled for 21-23 September in London. Racing will take place at Queen Mary Reservoir, one of Englands most famous inland sailing venues.

RTYC will be hosting the 4th iteration of the Regatta in their fleet of purpose-built new Sonars. Up to 12 teams will be invited to participate in this event, which continually attracts some of the top team racers from across the world. The event will be modeled on the 2k style of team racing, popular in Europe: RRS 17 is deleted, and races finish downwind. However, we intend to use spinnakers which differs from a standard 2K event. Teams shall be mixed gender and the helms must be members of the same MNA. Further details regarding team eligibility are in the Notice of Race.

One of the purposes of the Global Team Race Regatta is to foster the growth of team racing, gain greater international visibility and enhance the possibility of an Olympic designation. Therefore, we are looking for entries from multiple nationals including those new to the international team racing circuit.

Requests for Invitations must be received by the 15th of March using the form linked below.

Royal Thames Yacht Club and Queen Mary Reservoir are easily accessible from Heathrow Airport and London. More information about accommodations and travel will be available at the close of the invitation request period.

Please reach out to me if you have any questions about the event, and I will be happy to assist you. I hope to see you in September.
